Screenprinting Fun!

Bunny on tee should have been perhaps an inch or two more to the left.
Hooked on screenprinting, oh yes!

IF- 'Stargazing

Damnit, Jim! I'm a doctor, not an astronomer!

So I thought about stars, about how humans have gazed upon them for millenia, about how unfathomably far away they are, about the ends of the universe....and then I drew this.

Life Drawing

"I try to go once a week", she says. LIES! DAMNED LIES! After a lapse of six weeks, I dragged myself to class yesterday. It was The Very Beautiful Model again. Maybe I'll start to be more experimental next week.

'B' is for Bruce!

Okay Susan, I still don't understand the obsession but I'll give you this- The man's ridiculously easy to draw! He's a walking caricature.

Summer Vacation To-Dos

Working hard, or hardly working?
Hey, it's summer, and things are about to get busy again real soon.

IF- 'Caged'

Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel in 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'.
Fellow IF-ers may grumble a little at this response to this week's topic 'Caged', but it was an old sketch I finally got around to finishing...

My Compartment

I mentioned before I took part in the Compartments Compartments project. This is my contribution: 27 hand-drawn postcards of rabbits. Looking forward to hiding it, and tracking it on the website. The idea is that the finder of the compartment gets to keep the treasure inside, and they are encouraged to refill the box with something of their own for someone else to find.
Vancouverites: be on the lookout for white boxes!

I think this is the best goat pun in the world, and a serious contender for Best Pun Ever. My brother came up with it; I was the other half of the conversation that made it happen.

Jacqrabbits (the first generation)

I participated in the Compartment Compartments project today; these rabbit drawings are only 12 of the 27 handdrawn 4x6 'Jacqrabbits' cards I made for my box. Now the fun part: I will leave the box somewhere in the city for someone to discover and adopt.
I really liked making these cards, and I think I'll do more.

Repetitive Motions

I decided my old brass bed needed a quilt just about the same time I was given a 30 volume Craft Encyclopedia from 1973, so of course I decide to handsew a flower quilt. It's now been two years.
Animators are crazy.
