Tim Curry as Rooster from Annie (1982)

A local tattoo shop is going to do a show called 'Murray vs Curry' (or something like that) so I've been drawing Bill Murray and Tim Curry.  This is the first role I saw Tim Curry in- 'Rooster' in Annie.
The drawing is a bit wonky but I like it that way.  Probably should have left out the ink splatter from the atomizer but it's Inktober and I was experimenting.  A nod to my favourite illustrator David Hughes, minus the genius linework.

Edward ScissorHands, quick sketch

I joined Twitter so I could do #Sketch_dailies.  This is my first one.  It's also Inktober so I did it in ink with a dip pen.  Funny that it's Edward Scissorhands and I didn't draw his hands....was mostly worried about likenesses.

New batch of eggs: Totoro and Catbug

These are 3 different eggs.  The brown and turquoise Totoro was done on a brown egg, and I used vinegar to etch away the outer layer.  The under-shell turns white without its top coat, and I could then dye it a bright turquoise.  You can see how the brown designs are raised a little from the background.

Is there a Doctor in the house?

I did this last week as I was a vendor at VCON, a long-running sci-fi and fantasy conference in Vancouver.  Everyone has a favourite doctor!
